Meet Our Meat

Here at Stagison, we believe good, clean, sustainable farming practices and quality venison produce go hand in hand. It is why we go to great lengths to ensure our deer are lovingly raised, carefully nurtured and tenderly prepared from field to fork. Farm raised venison is truly delicious.

We love our deer. They are deer to our hearts. We pamper them with fluffy straw beds, vast rolling hills and lush green grass to eat. Because happy hooves mean happy meat. And as seasoned farmers, we know that when it comes to farm raised venison, in order to get the best from our meat we need to do what is best for our deer too. It is why we do everything we can to ensure the health, happiness and wellbeing of our herd, from start to finish.

It is also why we built our very own on-site abattoir where all of our deer are culled in dusk conditions with no bullying, chasing or stress. Simple, one at a time and with 100% effectiveness, perfection and kindness to our animals.

Designed with the well-being of our herd in mind at every turn, we produce tasty, tender, juicy, stress-free farm raised venison of the highest quality. It is just one of the many reasons we are recommended by some of the top vets and chefs in Scotland, as well as the UK food distribution industry. Because when it comes to producing that perfect venison cut, we know there are no shortcuts.
