Stagison is pleased to announce that we are now proud owners of Ceres Butchers at 8 Main Street in Ceres, Fife. Located just 5 miles from our base at Downfield Farm in Ladybank. We sell our own Scotch beef, lamb and venison in the shop. Along with locally sourced pork and freshly made haggis, pies and puddings.
John Hutchison and his team at Ceres Butchers had been providing local people and businesses with fresh, quality meat for twelve successful years. When John retired in March 2019, Bob and Jane Prentice of Stagison took over ownership of the butcher shop. This is a great extension of our business based at nearby Downfield Farm, where we farm and process our own meat, and offer abattoir, butchery and meat processing services.
We have kept on all staff members of Ceres Butchers. And David Noble, who has been a butcher with Ceres for over ten years, is our new Shop Manager. We now sell our field-to-fork venison, Galloway beef and Scotch lamb in the shop. We also supply pork from local meat suppliers A & R Paton of Greenhill Farm in Falkirk (Bob’s sister Jean and her family).
Plans for our New Shop
Our plan is to continue supplying top quality products from our new butchers, sourcing all meat as close to home as we can. Including native breed beef and grass-fed Galloway herd, with as much of it coming from our own farm as possible. We’ll keep on producing delicious pies and puddings on the premises. Delighted to serve the people and businesses of Fife and be part of a fantastic close-knit local community.
So, come along and visit us at Ceres Butchers for fresh and tasty Scottish meat products. You can also follow Ceres Butchers on Facebook to keep in touch.
